What to bring for your blood testPipeflow Medical Practice

Before your blood test we'll tell you whether you need to come fasting. Please bring your insurance card and a list of your medication.

Example of a text tile

Why it usually gets left undone.

The phone never stops ringing

Opening hours, holidays, vaccination appointments: lots of people ask by phone, even though it's been on the website for ages.

Unsure about professional rules

What is a medical practice allowed to show? Fear of a complaint to the medical chamber stops many practices completely.

No staff for social media

Your practice assistants already have plenty to do. There's no time left for posts.

Where the topics come from.

From the day-to-day practice

Opening hours, holiday cover, new online booking, notes on flu vaccination season: information that saves phone calls.

From the team

Who works at reception, who takes blood, who's new. A familiar face makes visiting the practice easier.

From preventive care

Which check-ups are available, what to bring to your appointment, how to prepare for a blood test. Factual and without promises.

An example week.

How Pipeflow could plan a week for you.

Monday: Prescriptions and referrals

A text tile explaining how to request a repeat prescription or referral from you, for example by phone at set times or online. Mondays in particular the lines are busy, and a clear process takes pressure off reception.

Wednesday: A device patients know

A photo of the ECG or blood pressure monitor in an empty consulting room, with two sentences on when it is used. Patients who know what to expect come to the practice more relaxed.

Friday: The GP practice in the village

A photo of the building or the village with a sentence on how long the practice has been there and who it serves. In rural areas especially, the practice is part of the community, and that is worth showing.

Tips for medical practices.

No advice by direct message

Patients sometimes write their symptoms in a message. Don't reply with medical advice, but kindly refer them to the phone and an appointment, or for acute symptoms to the 1450 health hotline or emergency services.

Inform rather than promote

For medical posts the rule is: inform factually, yes, advertise, no. Stick to procedures, general prevention and practice organisation, and ask the medical chamber if you are unsure.

Mention accessibility

Lift, step free entrance, parking outside: this matters to older patients and parents with prams. A dedicated post and a sentence in your profile help them decide whether they can come on their own.

Make short notice changes visible

If the practice has to close due to illness, a notice is needed quickly. With Pipeflow you can post immediately and pause planned posts, so no prevention tip appears next to the closure notice.

How Pipeflow helps.

From your website

Pipeflow reads what you offer and plans posts from it. No website? A few sentences about your business are enough.

With images

Photos from your website, your own photos, AI images or text tiles in your colours.

You approve

Nothing goes out until you approve it. You can edit, ask for a rewrite or pause at any time.

FAQ.

What can a medical practice show on Instagram?

Factual information about the practice, team, opening hours and services is usually allowed. Follow the professional rules of your medical chamber: no promises of cures, no patient cases, no before-and-after pictures.

Can I use Pipeflow without photos of patients?

Yes, that's actually the norm. Pipeflow uses photos from your website, your own uploads, AI images or text tiles in your practice colours. For photos showing people, Pipeflow asks about consent.

Does Pipeflow answer patient questions in the comments?

No. Pipeflow only plans and publishes posts. You answer comments and messages yourself, and medical questions belong in a consultation anyway.

Why be visible if the practice is full anyway?

Being visible doesn't only mean more patients. A well kept page answers questions about hours, procedures and cover arrangements and so takes pressure off your team. Assistants and potential successors also look online to see what a practice is like.

Who writes the texts if I don't have time?

Pipeflow writes the posts based on your website. You read them, adjust something if needed and approve. Through thumbs and stars, Pipeflow learns over time which wording you prefer and which you want to avoid.

Can I repeat a topic like the tick vaccination every year?

Yes, seasonal reminders can come every year, because every year people forget again. Just phrase them afresh and check that times and procedures are still correct. With prevention, repetition is not a mistake but the whole point.

What does Pipeflow cost?

Pipeflow is in its pilot phase. You can try it free.
